October Foodie Penpal Reveal (theleangreenbean)

It's that time of month again!! :-) It's the reveal day for theleangreenbean.com (foodie penpal!!) my penpal this month was awesome! Everything I got was pretty much homemade! She sent me homemade salsa and I of course ate like all of it but before I did that I had to make some guacamole!! :-) She also sent honey straight from the bee farm. OMG!! It's amazing! I want to eat it on everything. Even my husband try's to eat it all. Ok I <3 apple butter. It's one of my childhood favs. She sent me some!! Homemade of course! :-)! Wow!! I don't think I've ever had such amazing apple butter. Next she sent the dry ingredients to some pancakes. Oh yeah, I was happy eating them. They went perfect with the honey and apple butter. Finally she sent along some organic blue corn chips. Those were amazing! I will have to stock up on them that's for sure. So yes! My Colorful Harvest

Today we decided to go ahead and do one of the projects from their kiwicrate.com box. It was the "My colorful harvest" and it was actually a lot of fun. My two year old was getting into it but then she decided that she didnt want to do it anymore and I had to finish the project for her! :) It's ok though because I enjoyed the time with the kids today.

 

The project today was to make the fruits and veggies! As you can see it was a pear, apple, carrot, and eggplant. It was fruit and vegetable fabric and you had to "sew" them together with the laces. Once you got most of it "sewn" together you had to stuff them with cotton balls then you finished up "sewing" and tada you have your fruit or veggie!

As you can see, the little one seemed all tuckered out and the other one was like ummm what else can we do right now! :) We will be doing the other project tomorrow I think! :)

Our First Wonder Box

As you know, me and my boxes!! I decided to get the girls the wonder box from education.com and let me tell you that I LOVE this box! Ok I know I know, I LOVE all my boxes but I can't help it! There are just too many good/great boxes out there and of course I'm getting my hands on them. I'm not going to start anything in this box yet because we are two weeks out from getting on that plane and going to the states. I will be putting this in our suitcase though and doing this over the holidays. As you can see the theme for this box is "Nature" and there are four different things you can do and a list of things you can do depending on the time that you have. As we actually do the things in this box I will make sure to post!

October Foodie Penpal #1

SOOO, as you can see I joined another foodie penpal program. OMG, and did I LOVE this box! With this program you actually send to the person that sends to you. My penpal sent me all this fun food from Mexico and some coffee too. AHHH, I LOVE coffee! He was great with e-mailing and chatting before sending my box. Since I had NO idea what each thing was he sent me a letter telling what each thing was and what it goes with. Let's just say my kids were fighting me for this one. Vox Box

Well, I got my voxbox!! How very exciting!!! :-) sadly though I won't actually be able to touch and play with all my new stuff!! :-( Anyways, let me fill you in!

I went on influenster.com and made an account with them. Of course I started working on my badges right away! :-)!!! I was picked for the beauty blog box! How exciting right?!?! (Ok I find it to be VERY exciting)! Now I get to try out these great products and review them!

I had them send it to my mothers address because we are in the process of moving from Okinawa, Japan back to the states! So I do not get to do my video :-(.

I am excited for the bath&body candle because 1. I love me some candles and 2. Pumpkin is my favorite of all time and of course it's pumpkin :-)! The spin pin I have been dieing to try out so as soon as we get back that will be my first toy! The NYC palate is perfect especially with the holidays right around the corner! Even more so with the holidays coming the lashes are perfect! Always like to go a tad but more glam around this time of year! Plus my bday is around the corner as well. And of course the boost drink and not your mothers hair cream are also on my todo list as soon as we are back! I will make sure to do a follow up post since I don't have the products in hand at the moment!!! :-)

PetsLoveToys

 

I have to admit that I LOVE me some petslovetoys.com! It is completly worth it. I ended up ordering a tad bit early in the month but I am ok with it! :) As you can see Naoki loves her new box. Everything that came in it she loved and she eats.

 

As before I stated that she LOVES to play tug so ropes are her thing, and in this box there was a tug type toy. I like it because it has the handle on it and my daughters like it for that reason to because it makes it easier for them to hold on to with her.

 

Smokehouse sticks/bones are PERFECT. These are the first I have seen her take it and be all excited for. Glad that we got these again this time around. I will have to make sure that we keep getting these too.

 

There were 3 different things from whole life and I think these are a keeper. They are freeze dry food. Nothing added. They were lamb/beef liver and sweet potatoes. :)! Oh yeah, she loved them! Also she got sojos. 100% natural and they were bacon cheddar flavor.

 

They are changing the prices but honestly I do not care because I will continue to keep getting boxes from them. The prices are now going to be $19.95 for small-medium dogs and $24.95 for large-x-large dogs. I believe that they will continue to do free shipping as well but I am not 100% sure on that one.

 

BUT YES, I do suggest that EVERYONE that is a pet parent go and check them out! :)

Day 3

Day 3 and I am getting BETTER!! :) Good feeling knowing that I am able to keep going longer. It kills but its a good pain! :)

Salad is the same as yesterday but I couldn't help myself because its REALLY REALLY yummy! :-)

Of course, SHAKEOLOGY!! What can I say, it really is yummy. I really can't believe I took myself off of it! What was I thinking!?

Day 18

My flexability is a little off these days! I have to get back to my stretches!!

 

YES, I do use this as my sunblock BUT only for my face. I really do not use anything else as my sun screen. If I do it's a 4-8 SPF.

Day 17

Playing hard at the park with the girls! This has to be one of the BEST slides I have ever seen! I like the drop! Even my 2 year old loved it!

 

Sorry BUT I hate when I have to see some guys butt because he refuses to pull up his pants! I do NOT need to see your butt!!

Day 2 of Challenge

Day 2 of planking and yes I am doing better BUT still kind of sad!! haha. BUT I will continue to get better each day as I do them! :)

OH MY!! I have NEVER been into fruit in my salad BUT WOW!! I LOVED this salad. Apples, pecans, feta, lettuce and some balsamic dressing. The key is light on the feta and light on the dressing!! I will have to keep this salad in rotation though!

Shakeology!! What can I say, BEST part of the day!

Day 16

I don't know why but I really like broccoli, so I always try to keep some frozen on hand.

My nail polish collection, even though I am missing some due to my daughters taking off with it!

30 Day Challenges

Part of this challenge is to do a plank-a-day. Let me tell you, this one is kind of hard! haha, I will keep doing it every day but I get the feeling I will stick around this time!! :)

Other part of this challange, a salad a day! This was just a basic salad. Chicken, lettuce and dressing! :) It was yummy though!

Last part of the challenge is 30 days of shakeology to get me back into it! YUM!! It was the BEST night time snack while everyone else was eating cookies!!!

Day 12

My "gym" is my home! I have insanity, turbo fire, and brazil butt lift. Let's just say holy crap!!! These 3 kick my butt!! Amazing feeling after these.

Latest purchase!! Yes, I like to shop! Most of my stuff isn't just beauty, it's what makes me, ME! New travel carry on bag, a passport holder, hair most oil from got2be, candle, my nerd logic problems!! :-)

Day 11 Photo Challenge

The best way I like to relax is 1. Read a book! Love having the kindle app! And 2. Listen to music. Putting my headphones on and getting lost in a good book is always a good way to shut out the world!!!

Ok, so I found this site influenster.com and what it is, is where you can get badges pertaining to your lifestyle. A way to "influence" others. To give your opinion and review products/places. I LOVE it!!! In a way it's like I'm testing myself to see what I really do use or not. It's a fun little game to me to get my badges (of course ones that actually pertain to ME!) and see how much in each I use different products and what I really think of them! It's a fun community of people all helping each other! :-). I think I'm on there daily checking out different things. They have a score system and its fun to see how your score changes from day to day! I highly recommend checking it out!!!

Day 10

For fruit I LOVE grapes :-)! For my beauty inspiration I like to go look around on Pinterest and then tweak it to what would look better on me.

Day 9

I do not have a calorie counter yet :-( but I am in the market for one and this happens to be one I'm looking at. I'm also looking at the bodybug, Nike fuel and a couple others.

For my hair care right now I'm using sulfate free shampoo and conditioner and I use a shine spray a frizz lotion and of course I use a heat spray because I flat iron my hair and blow dry it! :-) soon to be switching to wen though!!

Sponsoring A Child

Today, while watching some Grey's Anatomy I decided that I wanted to sponsor a child. To be honest, this is something I have been wanting to do since highschool and why I have never done it, couldn't tell ya! Well while online tonight doing my "homework" I found a blog where a woman not only sponsors several differnent children she has her own kids sponsor kids as well. I like this idea for many reasons! I like the idea of kids getting to know kids from around the world and learning that every place is different and NOT every person grows up the same way with the same chances. Yes both of my kids are young but I want to go ahead and start now with my 5 year old. I think that for Christmas this is something that we are going to do. I want my kids to grow up knowing that NOT everyone gets the same chances and that people grow up having very different struggles. I want both of my girls to understand that they are VERY lucky to have the things that they have. When I get my packet with the info on my "kid" I will sit down with them and talk to them about it and see what they have to say and go from there. :)

Mini Haul

Tonight I just HAD to get out of the house and since I am going to my going away dinner... I had to get a new shirt!! Since I got a new shirt I needed new lipstick/gloss and some new bronzer because my daughter thought it would be fun to take my other one and smash it!!

 

My mom and I have picked out the girls halloween costumes this year (doing our own thing!) so I needed to get the finishing touches and here they are! Wings and tutus, glow in the dark nail polish and some fun pink hair stuff! :) I of course got my Naoki (our pit) a hat to wear!

 

Doesn't she just look too cute!! Yeah she doesn't like it too much but she will wear it long enough to make me happy! :) I LOVE HER!!!

 

 

Day 4 of Photo Challenge

For day 4, here are my workout clothes! I was getting ready to actually workout so I just took a pic of them BEFORE they went on. :) Always in some pants/shorts that are just comfy and a sports bra (luckily I work out at home!!)

 

My brushes!!! I am VERY VERY picky about brushes and these I like but NOT my fav but I do still use them BUT I am waiting on a new set!! :) (will post once I get them in!)

Day 3 of Photo Challenge

My fav work out that I really enjoy to do is TurboFire's Fire 45 Class!! I can't even begin to explain just how pumped I get with this class. I always get excited when this is on the schedule! :)

 

For my makeup collection... this honestly is just the basics of it. I am re-doing it right now because I got rid of A LOT of stuff because I just didn't like it anymore and I didn't want it sitting around and taking up room when I can buy new stuff and enjoy it sooooo much more!! :)

So, I saw these out in town here in Oki and I just HAD to have them. It took me about a month or two to actually get them though! :) I do have to say this, I LOVE them! They are absolutly perfect. I put them on and I can completly tune out everything around me. My husband actually has to throw things are my head to make me stop and look at him because I really can NOT hear anything going around me. It's perfect when I am working or trying to get some things done because I have always been the type of person to listen to music while working, doing HW or anything like that. They go on, I turn them up to full blast and I am able to just zone out on what I am doing! :) If you have never tried them I highly think you should. YES they are pricey but sooooo worth the money!! If I could I would totally have different pairs so I could have different colors but I think that my husband would be a tad mad!! HAHA!

Day 2 of Photo Challenge

Breakfast was a on the run deal!! SO good though! For my daily must haves, NO matter if I wear makeup or not I NEED these!!! :)

First PetsLoveToys.com Box

OK!! So, today was a good day!! I ended up getting 4 of my subscription boxes! One of which was petslovetoys.com   ! I LOVED IT! I honestly, believe that I will keep this going and not wait until after the holidays to start it back up. Let me start by telling you about doggie number 1. (we have 3 but 2 of them live in Fla with my parents right now until November when we get back.) Naoki is a pitbull and she is PICKY! She only likes ropes for toys (tennis balls only because she likes to rip them up) and she has NEVER liked bones or sticks or anything like that. Well today... she got a new toy that she loves and those sticks in there OH YEAH, she LOVED them!!! To see how happy my baby was made me realize how PERFECT of an idea it was. To top it off, to see that they had written "Thank you for your service" (husband is military) was NICE. I do NOT ever except anyone to go out of their way because he is military but to have people say "Thank You" makes you take a step back and think. Of course being new to the whole subscription boxes thing I was/am a little nervous about all the boxes that I am trying out but I know for a fact that I am happy about this one!! I recommend this box and this company to anyone and everyone! :)

September Foodie PenPal

This was my first month participating in foodie penpal and let me tell you, it was A LOT of fun. I got all this niffty fun stuff!! :) She sent me a magnet which I think is cool, something to decorate my fridge with. A menu to her fav restraunt where she is from. That was cool because everything state/town has something you are not going to find everywhere else. She worked in a bakery and she sent me a vegan cookie from there. I havn't eaten it yet because every time I go to eat it both of my kids are fighting me for it, haha. I got some wheat flour from her state which is awesome and with that she sent a recipe to for a ginger cookie. SO ready to make those. I think me and the girls will greatly enjoy it. Last but NOT least she sent me some jam. Not just any jam but its a bunch of different berries WITH jalopenos!! YUMMM! It tastes soooo good! I am excited to eat it with some creamcheese and crackers! :)

 

To explain a little bit this program is done monthly. Who you send to doesn't send to you. You DO NOT have to spend TONS of money. You want to have it mailed out by the 15th of every month that way it gets to them in time. You email your person within 72 hours to touch base with them and get their address and to see if they have any dietary specialties. You do NOT want to send someone that does NOT eat meat something with anything meat related. You want to make you that your person enjoys what you are sending them! I am excited for next month and looking forward to doing this every month. My first month I feel I could have been a better sender but it was my first month and I am learning how to make this fun for me and my person!Stay posted for next month!! :)
